Alexander Glonin from Bucharest, Romania draws robots (the nice kind) daily. His illustrations are so wonderfully executed and not to mention cute and playful! I’m a huge fan of the toned sketchbook paper and white ink, making his artwork truly pop right off the page. When it comes to highlighting and shading his illustrations in a way that showcase their full beauty, Alexander is clearly no amateur. Each drawing is totally different from the last, while maintaining his robotic theme and (mostly) primary color palette. Something really cool that Alexander does with his artwork is “Free Art Fridays”, leaving precious finished pieces in public places for whoever finds it to keep. I find that so inspiring, because sometimes it’s hard for me to let go of my more elaborate doodles — but it’s a great way to spread your artwork while brightening someone else’s day!
