Ellbrt is a fellow doodler who shares her art-filled journaling experience with the world via instagram. For years, she’s been slowly accumulating stacks of those little “field notes” sketchbooks, making sure to keep up with her journaling on the daily whether it’s a painting, a memory, a random thought, or an elaborate idea. I love her organized pages that feature tiny (yet very intricate) watercolored buildings/architecture paired with carefully aligned blocks of colorful text. Every so often, she posts a photo displaying her growing stack of journals, and the amount of dedication to this form urban-sketching blows me away This next photo shows a stack of Ellbrt’s sketchbooks just a year and a half after committing to journaling daily. It’s been well over three years since she took on the project–just imagine her current stacks on stack on stacks!
