Sometimes the best thing art can do for you is make you smile, and thankfully there are artists like Megha Bhattacharjee whose entire portfolio is a smile-inducing whirlwind. On her website, Megha describes herself as, “a self-taught artist from India, who uses graphite and ink to create artworks influenced by people, nature, art, and music that reflects beautiful interpretations of emotion, thoughts, and feelings.” We couldn’t agree more on the latter. We found Megha’s work while scrolling on Instagram and were instantly captivated by the sweet and loving expressions that seem to radiate throughout her portraiture work. Even without color, and the main focus being closed-eye portraits, you can’t help but to fall in love over and over with Megha’s work.
With a fluctuation between kittens, puppies, human babies, and soft-faced adults, Megha’s work is a great reminder of the innocence and love that exists in the world.
