Erzsébet Bojti from Hungary is serving up a new type of sketchbook, trading in pages made of paper for various types of fabric. Hand-picked textiles are cut, sewn, and bound into this book where the artwork is either drawn or sewn on top of the different swatches. Doodled cats, architecture and people populate this beautiful, unconventional collection of art. I like the idea of experimenting with a wide range colors and textures because it transforms the whole look and feel of a drawing. It definitely seems like a challenge that can yield some unexpectedly cool results!
