I Must Go” is a breath-taking collection of illustrations created by Matheus Lopes while wandering around the world. He starts the sketchbook with a quote by Henry Miller that reads: “One’s destination is never a place, but always a new way of seeing things.”

I feel like this really sets the mood for what comes next, because within his sketchbook Matheus is able to capture people in passing, buildings, bridges, or even bikes in a whole new light. I’m completely encaptured by the was he utilizes negative space in such a beautiful way. You won’t find harsh outlines in his work, rather a strategic combination of colors that provide the perfect amount of contrast amongst the elements.

I can literally feel the inspiration stirring up within me when I look through the pages of his sketchbook! Click here to see the full project.
