Most of us are familiar with the expression "quality over quantity", but that doesn't always ring true if you're looking to sharpen your skills or define your own unique style. Pau Gasol Valls' sketchbook is a great example of this, beautifully showcasing a huge quantity of doodled thumbnail portraits inside his sketchbook. No two are executed exactly the same, each drawn with a special set of colors, styles, and shifting perspectives. I'm in love with the diversity of this collection and inspired to dedicate a few pages in my sketchbook to something similar. Challenge yourself to see how many unique ways you can recreate a specific object.
