Ieva Trinkūnaitė, a graphics and printmaking student from Lithuania, is the keeper of this well-rounded sketchbook featuring different papers and textures that vary from page to page. This artistic compilation of animals, plants, moons, fresh foods, and typography are just as varietal as the paints, inks, and papers used to create them. Cut-up and torn pieces of paper play a role in her compositions, in some instances completing the other half of an ink drawing. It’s easy to discover a knack for something and avoid experiementing outside of your comfort zone, so I appreciate Ieva’s array of materials and willingness to not stay stuck on just one thing!
