Robbie Anson Duncan is a British artist/jack of many trades who spent 19 hours completing a floor to ceiling mural in a tattoo shop earlier this year. I was cracking up when I saw the timelapse of him painting his mural throughout the day, all the while you see the people in the foreground are in the midst of being tattooed. The aesthethic of his work is classic old school doodle-y, but what I find most impressive is his patience and consistency. In the past I’ve also tried doing something like this on a large scale: At first, my lines were sharp, shapes were perfect, spacing was on point…then slowly but surely everything began looking a little more…relaxed…and wobbly. Robbie maintains the same look for 19 hours, despite his doodling while laying down, and that’s something that takes true persistence!
