Vincent Bal is a filmmaker/doodler from Belgium who caught our attention through his creative doodles that utilize shadows created by the sun. It takes a wild imagination, and someone with a crystal clear vision to be able to pull off these shadow doodles. The ability to come up with the idea for the doodle based on something that isn’t within your control is highly impressive. Then, add in the fact that he is creating these shadows using natural sunlight (not a fixed setup). It also seems like he does most of his doodles when the sun is either coming up or setting (based on the enlongated shadows) which means that they’re going to change shape more quickly–essentially making it a race against the clock from concept to completion to presentation. I’m still baffled.
