These are some of the loveliest photographs of a sketchbook I’ve seen. The artist is Chivy Salado, whose doodles artwork live in that whimsical place between fun and bizarre. I’m in love with the way the imagery in these photos sets the mood for the drawing featured, whilst keeping the surroundings subdued enough to not distract from the artwork. The atmosphere added impact to my first impressions of the drawings in a way that plain old scans simply wouldn’t.
