Little Black Books

Colin Jenkinson's words are too good to shorten or rephrase. So in his own words:

"…I love anything that involves ideas, pencils and paper. I've been drawing obsessively since I was a kid, on the back of envelopes, scraps of paper, anything I could lay my Tizer covered fingers on. This obsession is something that I've never lost and this is the reason why I work under the heading of 'Little Black Books.' In my working life small pocket books are the start of everything, like 'pictures from my pocket.' Much of the work on this site is taken from everyday findings, doodles and thoughts, remixed and reformed into something that happens to make sense - or not."

  1. Beautiful and inspiring, I went on his blog and I am blown away

  2. I have no words for these. Amazingly cool stuff.

  3. Awesome! I'm looking forward to checking out more of his work.

  4. WOW - Stunning, amazing talent!

  5. This is so great, I am in complete awe. I really admire this kind of work. Probably my new favourite! Just looking at all those little sketchbooks fuels my brain. Your website is an endless source of inspiration, I've lost count of the amazing artists I have discovered and revisited through this blog. Thank you!

  6. Thank you so much everyone and for posting me DA! I am so honored to have been invited to be part of the WAFA collective. It's an incredible stable of artists to be working with from all corners of the globe. All the work will be collaborative, created by two or more artists and documented for everyone. This will be fun... keep watching.
