I won’t pretend for a minute to understand the German text in Jenny Wildfang‘s dreary sketchbook, but there is something unsettling in her work that breeds discomfort. I’m not quite sure what it is — only that it is there and it is dark. The use of heavy shadows heightens the narrative and the sickly sense that something is not okay. Who are these people drenched in shadows? Do we want to know the secrets they keep?
All I can say is that Jenny is one of my favorite new finds over at our Google+ community, so if you haven’t joined, you should!
