I have been a huge fan of James Victore for awhile now. He has made a living in the design world by doing exactly what he wants and by not compromising. I love his perspective of clients being comrades, loving what you do, and putting yourself in your work by making it personal.

Victore’s work is filled with scribbles, scratches, and lots of personality. It rides the edge of being in your face and being transparent. He is one of the original doodlers. One of the original rebels waving his middle finger to advertising companies who think “we are stupid.”

I was very excited when he opened up a Q and A through his website where designers, illustrators and anyone else could write in to get his advice. He has taken on subjects like Self Doubt, Creative Burnout, All-nighters, etc… It’s been very inspiring to have someone who has done such great work take on questions that all makers have had at one point or another. I will end this post with a quote from James in hopes you will visit his site, watch his videos and be as inspired as I am.

No one can stand in the way of your personal greatness” — James Victore
