You might recognize Leib Chigrin’s beautiful artwork from the Portraits in the Participate section. His style is unmistakable, and he’s easily one of the most talented illustrators I’ve ever come across. All of his work is drawn by hand with pen and ink using various forms of stippling. I find myself getting lost staring at those hypnotic lines and intricate patterns that literally make my eyes buzz. How does he do it? How long does something like that take? I find myself overwhelmed at the thought of trying to figure out how to recreate this type of look and came to the conclusion that with a clear vision, a little patience, and a whole lot of talent, remarkable pieces like these are born!
