I found heartsl0b’s Tumblr recently and instantly fell for the intricately detailed graphic novel-style of their artwork. By filling the spaces of the page with tiny specifics, the artist builds an entire world that I can picture going on beyond the edges of the drawing. Familiar social situations with gruesome undertones are mixed together in this rich world populated with intriguing characters and engaging surroundings. It’s gritty, it’s vivid, and I’m definitely sucked into the visual narrative.
