Michel Gondry is one of my favorite directors because of his ability to concept something unique and execute it to perfection. In the video below Michel doodles on the glass of a steamed shower and as each mark begins to fade from the glass, he doodles another right over it. Layer after layer the narrative unfolds and you sit mesmerized through the entire song.
As a fun side note, Michel Gondry did this video on his own and without anyone’s knowledge and then gifted it to The White Stripes for their first new song together since breaking up in 2008. Check out “City Lights” below.
