Sofia Bonati is a self-taught artist from Argentina who specializes in illustration, painting, and design. I stumbled upon her a-MAZE-ing portraits of women and I was instantly pulled in. I love the way that she draws the body in pencil, delicately shading it in a way that brings the ladies to life. Seeing the bold abstraction of the hairstyles against the more detailed aspects of her illustrations really inspires me to delve into the world of mixing different styles. Below are a few of my favorites but considering the amount of work she puts out, it was extremely difficult to choose and I’d highly recommend checking her out!
