This totally recycled book created by Daria Epifanova gives a whole new meaning to the phrase “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” The scattered mess of paint, drawings, and old papers truly makes for an unexpected beauty. Consisting of nearly 100 spreads, each unique page is exploding with collages of spoiled printer pages, recycled clippings, bold brush strokes, and wonderfully detailed sketches. I found myself scouting the pages for little hidden treasures, seemingly more and more lost in each beautiful mess as I continued. It’s extremely inspiring to see new and exciting ideas derived from something that we all have, but might simply overlook.
