It’s not often you can slip someone a single dollar bill and get something awesome in return. That $1 tip might get you a casual nod from the cute bartender. Or maybe an ice-cream cone on your way home from work?
Or… how about this. You give a one-dollar note to 100 New York artists and see what they do with it. That’s what the gents behind the “One Hundred Dollars” exhibition did. And don’t get me wrong, I love an ice-cream cone as much as the next kid, but this currency art is a little more special for a dollar, don’t you think?
The exhibition is on until August 9, if you’re in New York. Otherwise, just take a peek at our favourites here. You don’t even have to slip us a buck.
