We have always wanted to create a coloring book that is one-of-a-kind. We did it and showcased it for the first time in Miami’s first annual Family Day in the Design District.

December 12 fell on a Saturday. The Miami sky was filled with grey clouds and it was exceptionally windy. As we set up our tables, chalkboard and blown-up illustrations – papers flew, chalkboards fell over and the rain began to fall. All signs pointed to a frantic kind of day.

But moms, dads and their mini mes showed and as the sun peaked through the clouds, the crowd grew.

It was four hours of kids drawing and scribbling everywhere. There were many moments where I stood back and stared with amazement at the eager kids and colors scattered all over the floor.

Here are some pictures of the event. We look forward to a DA Coloring Book, Volume 2.
