Do You Have Protection?

The sketchbook of Jabson Rodrigues is exploding with sexuality. The drawings are erotic, playful and composed of bold and exact lines. You'll find some of his work on the streets of Brazil, but until then visit his flickr for a peek into some well drawn sensuality.

Featured: John Malta

The world of John Malta is in another realm. His shaky uneven lettering, his colorful yet dark and eerie illustrations, his fascination with punk shows and pet lizards - they all make for something that's weird and wonderful at the same time.

To this day, John's cat doodle (I'm still not quite sure if it's really a cat but I love him anyway), which you can find inside our DA coloring book, remains as one of my favorites.

For his feature, John answered a few questions for us in doodle form. His answers, as you will see, are full of character, full of texture, full of awesome. He also sent over some photos from inside his studio in NYC, where he is living now.

Moldy Magic. That's how he refers to his work. And really, I couldn't have come up with a better pairing of words to describe John Malta and his sultry craft. It's bound to grow on you, if it hasn't already.

Tilt-A-Whirl

Ceskinís doodles are as inviting and playful as an amusement park. I want to spend a day inside them to wander amongst the happy faces and savor the eye candy.

Great Heights

Comic-style storylines, fine architectural detail, and precise drafting. I could get lost in the graphic and textual layers. I'm enamoured. Take a gander at Timothy J. Reynolds's Moleskins and you will be too.

Look, then Read

Justin Paszul (also known as solidgoldpants) will never have a drawing named, Untitled. That's because while his drawings may capture your attention, it's the titles to each that make you smirk and think, "...this guy gets it."

I stumbled onto Justin's work almost a year ago and still find myself amused every time a new update pops up on his flickr page. Trust me, these are not your everyday doodles with snarky captions. This work is far more original, and the truth is, I don't know what comes first in his process. Is it the words or the art?

Click to see some of my favorites or just dive right into his flickr link. Either way you will became a fan very quickly, and you should also take note that he's recently launched an Etsy shop with original drawings for sale. Justin, if you are listening, I want one.

Do Not Bend

I don't know why it's taken me so long to post this but these freehand drawings by Diana Fayt done on found cardboard envelopes are so delicate and perfect. Check out the entire set of "The Ladies." And let's all send her mail, you know she'll put them to good use.

Maxwell Longname

Whenever I need some inspiration, Maxwell Loren Holyoke-Hirsch is not far from my reach... beautifully organic and delicate. When I look through his work I feel like I should be handling it with tweezers.
