Giveaway: 'This Is Not a Book' by Keri Smith

If you don't know Keri Smith, then you don't know inspiration, or should I say motivation. Her work as an artist goes well beyond just skilled doodles. Keri has authored a handful of books that focus on getting you off your arse and out into the world to make, create or wreck yourself into existence. Her latest book titled "This Is Not a Book," will have you questioning everything a book can be and asking that you answer it by bringing your own copy to life.

We are fortunate to have secured two signed copies to giveaway, but winning one won't be as easy as leaving a comment below. We ask that you grab a book that you love or hate and make art out of it. No guidelines. You can sharpie the front, back and spine or put it in a blender and make it into a collage -- the options are endless. Don't think too hard about it. Right now, just walk away from your computer, crack your head open and create.

Document the results, send us the photos (editor AT doodlersanonymous DOT com) and you may just win. You have 10 days (giveaway will end October 31st). Keri and DA will select two winners and post all the submissions on the site soon after. Have fun and good luck.

Results are in!!! We have our winners and the submissions are exceptional. Click to see for yourself »

Giveaway: Pop, Northern, Städteer

We featured Matteo's work earlier in the week and now we have the pleasure of giving away one of his self-published zines. Pop, Northern, Städteer! is a 16-page black-and-white illustrated zine on its 2nd release, limited to 30 copies. You can win one by visiting Matteo's Superposer project and commenting below with a guess on approximately how many post-it notes were used. Good luck!

Giveaway: The Alphabet Series

We are in love with The Alphabet Series by Lazy Soosan: the self published zine that fits in the palm of your hand, created by the duo illustrator team of Laura and Lucy. Each issue is filled with doodles and drawings dedicated to one letter from the alphabet.

We are giving away two from the series (letters D + A, get it?) to the first person to answer a simple question in the comments of this entry. Details after the jump

Giveaway: Print Brigade Tote Bag

Listen up, we all know plastic bags suck. Over 100,000 animals a year mistake them for food and die. By carrying this tote bag around the marine creatures above will continue to live happily. DA and Chris Piascik (yesterday's featured doodle artist) are shipping one lucky person the above screen-printed canvas bag. Details after the fold »

Giveaway Alert

Since our launch, we've given away a classic t-shirt and sticker pack from areyougeneric.org and a beautiful one-off screen print from Slow Loris.

We've got some great giveaways coming in the days and weeks ahead and like the previous lucky winners, you'll have to be the first person to answer correctly to win. Consider this your alert or heads up, the best way to be notified of a live giveaway is by subscribing to our RSS or twitter feed. Good luck.

Scrambled Letters

I was flipping through my sketchbook and found these letters from a slew of different hand-drawn typefaces I was experimenting with. The first person to unscramble the letters and leave a comment below with the right answer will win a free t-shirt and some stickers from the areyougeneric.org catalog. Disclaimer: The combination of letters above could very well spell many different words, but there is only ONE right answer when I put them together -- guess that and you win.
