Diary Magazine is an autobiographical publication by the artist Cake. She uses this medium as her diary, except that instead of using words, she uses doodles, drawings, paintings, photographs and other visual elements to document the occurrences of her life in London. "...It is the aesthetics of children's drawings and a captivation for the authentic, yet undefined, by which the German-born artist is particularly affected." It's nothing new to find doodle and illustration art used throughout the mainstream graphic design world, but the above example is executed so subtle and sophisticated that I had to highlight it.

A friend recently bought this KERN fleece from Veer (yes, she is a typophile) and immediately came over to show it off. The fleece was shipped in this clear bag with a one-color white doodle screen print. What's so nice is that, wherever the art is knocked out you get a preview of the color from the package on the inside. Simple, effective and cheap to produce.
