Ha! I LOVE the idea of concept doodles. Her idea behind this made it increasingly interesting! And it brings up lots of questions and imaginations about her... Like she gets clothes at The Gap, so you get one picture in your head - and then she drinks PBR, which brings up another! Great!!!

I am more a PBR drinker than a GAP buyer (but most certainly a person who can't pass up a good sale whether that is at the thrift store or the GAP).

Wow, this is what I love about art, it's so kooky and personal and filled with personality. This is the kind of artist you'd want to spend the day with because you know you'd have a fun time. :)

Kate Bingaman-Burt

I am obsessed with Kate's work and she is obsessed with consumption. Back in 2006, I was lucky enough to receive a package from her full to the brim with zines, t-shirts, credit card statements and flyers all doodled by hand. It was obvious then that she was a compulsive doodle artist and to date, has yet to slow down. Besides her daily purchase drawings, she has been featured in Mike Perry's Hand Job and has recently illustrated the entire breath of the book, Handmade Nation: The Rise of DIY, Art, Craft, and Design.

For her feature here on DA, she has submitted a drawing a day of purchases she made from September 15th to the 21st. Enjoy.
