There's a Forklift in My Pencil Case

Sometimes I worry that my doodlings might be getting a bit claustrophobic in that A5 notebook of mine. Would they be happier with a bit more space to play around in? Maybe some fresh air and a more interesting view than the last page's bum?

I'm keen to take notes from Luke Ramsey and Josh Holinaty - these boys know how to go BIG! For this mural in Canada, their doodling space was so huge they needed a forklift to reach the top!

It's probably best that I don't let the doodlings in my A5 notebook catch wind of this. They'd be so jealous. They might go on strike until I gave them more space to play around in. I guess I'll have to bust out the A3 butchers paper tonight, that'll keep them happy! For now.

These pictures are amazing.

"their doodling space was so huge they needed a forklift to reach the top!"

I dont know how people draw such big pictures but so close to the wall, how they get all the proportions right from so close..very talented.

Lisa, just stumbled across this post & want to clarify that the "Transition" Mural is actually a project by the Edmonton Small Press Association (ESPA), a registered non-profit/activist-arts org. I'm the Project Mgr that worked on it (unpaid) for over 4 yrs, when all's said & done. rnrnLuke & Josh (introduced & commissioned by ESPA) designed the artwork & executed the line-work, but there were actually 12 other artists who did most of the prep, base-painting & sealing/weather-proofing. rnrnWe'd just like to see ESPA & the other artists also receive credit for their work on it, & would appreciate you updating the above post to reflect that ESPA is the actual Producer. (Incidentally, ESPA has since received a 2011 "Award of Excellence" by the Edmonton Urban Design Awards & a Medal in the 2012 Nat'l Urban Design Awards [Royal Architectural Institute of Canada] for producing the Mural.) Thanks. :)
