I bid you all a fond farewell, and hope you have enjoyed my contributions. If you would like to ask me any
questions about my work/life/cat then please do so, I have a section on my site and am happy to add a link.
I thought I'd let you know a little bit about me and my work before I leave.
The underlying element in my work is humor and wit. I love working with
wordplay, manipulating language and combining this with images.

I believe that when language is used without reason or inappropriately, it serves no purpose. In a recent interview on
Forththread.com, I explained that despite being an illustrator, words are often the main subject of my work. I am fascinated by
language, how it can be manipulated to take on
alternate meanings.
My practice is always evolving, currently I have been working with
type, allowing the
work to stand for itself, believing illustrations can become overly decorative and elements become irrelevant. I could bore you rotten with more words explaining my work but instead I'll give you a little insight about me. I am punctual, and hate people being late ~ there is never a good enough excuse, the worst being "sorry, i'm late, I set off late". I hate noisy eaters. I love reading the small print on televisions adverts. I love cowboy shirts but my collection is few. I make more 'to do' lists than actually doing the things on the lists. I would like to meet
Daniel Eatock, the man is a genius.
It's been fun exploring and sharing.
